But one of his mayor flaws, are his pride and anger, his biggest dream is to achieve great things and be recognized as the “hero” of his city. And his love for nature, may get Lina, Poppy and him out of Ember. But Doon isn’t all about technology (trying to build a movable light, and trying to figure out how the radiator works), he loves nature too. But he is also willing to help others and he is very kind, also he likes to tell the truth, no matter how hard it is he tells Ember’s situation as the Mayor should have. Nevertheless, he is very serious, always focused of more important tasks. Although, some people in the pipeworks doesn’t accept his curiosity. Lina is twelve, which means she is old enough to work, and support her little sister, Poppy.ĭoon is very curious, he wants to know how and why stuff works. All her life, Lina wanted to be a messenger which shows she is really visually oriented. Since she’s constantly delivering their messages, she gets to know the citizens in every corner of the city. Her love for running connects her with the people of Ember. On the other hand, Lina loves to run through Ember delivering messages. She is known for being very creative, dreamer and smart.
